[The scene is set in a bustling caravan park, filled with caravans and campers of all shapes and sizes. In the distance, the sound of children laughing and dogs barking can be heard. Enter Henry and Beatrice, a middle-aged couple, standing outside their caravan.]Beatrice:
My love, we have arrived at our new home!
Let us take care to park our caravan with aplomb.
Henry:
Indeed, my dear, we must take care with this task,
For we do not want to incur an unwanted ask.
[Henry climbs into the driver’s seat of the car, while Beatrice stands outside and gives him guidance. Several other campers and caravanners have gathered around to watch the spectacle.]Beatrice:
Reverse the caravan, my sweet and noble knight,
And park it snugly in this space, with all thy might.
By-stander 1:
Nay, good sir, turn your wheels to the right,
Else your caravan shall not be in sight.
Henry:
I hear thy counsel, gentle sir, and do oblige,
For I do not wish my efforts to be a dire surprise.
[Henry turns the wheels to the right and begins to reverse the caravan, but then comes too close to a nearby tree.]Beatrice:
Oh, sweet husband, beware that tree,
Else our caravan shall not be free.
By-stander 2:
Verily, sir, adjust your angle straight,
Else your caravan shall not be in the right state.
Henry:
I thank thee for thy wise advice, good sir,
And shall endeavor to park with more care.
[Henry adjusts the angle of the caravan and begins to reverse again, but then hits a bump and nearly topples over.]Beatrice:
Oh, hapless husband, take heed of the terrain,
Else our caravan shall suffer great pain.
By-stander 3:
Thou must avoid that bump, my good man,
Else thy efforts shall be in vain.
Henry:
I thank thee for thy counsel wise and sound,
And shall endeavor to keep my wheels on the ground.
[Henry carefully navigates the caravan around the bump and backs it into its designated space.]Beatrice:
Well done, my love, thou hast parked with grace!
Our caravan shall now be our happy place.
By-standers:
Huzzah! Huzzah! Thy efforts are most fair,
And worthy of great praise and laudatory flair!
Henry:
I thank thee, gentle sirs and ladies too,
For all thy help and counsel that rang true.
[Exeunt omnes.]
